Adele's 'Rolling in the Deep' is a pretty decent song as far as pop goes. I've found that much of pop is far too similar. People constantly cover each other's songs and past hits. Adele has managed to create a very good song that is not only extremely popular with 452 million hits on youtube, but also one that isn't really a fashion statement. By that I mean people listen to it because they really like it; they don't like it simply because others do. This is not a yes man song. People don't go with the crowd with this song. I'm sure plenty did, especially with how big it got, but it's not nearly as bad as songs like Justin Bieber's 'Baby'. Baby was a very disappointing song because it didn't say anything apart from, "baby, baby, baby, oooooooohhh!!'. I'd give Rolling in the Deep a 9/10 on vocals and a 6/10 on the instrumental. Adele's voice is wonderful, she just has a very simple instrumental under it. That being said, I don't know how much more she could have done with it before she ended up with just noise, so I won't complain too much.

  1. I absolutely love Adele's voice! It is so soulful and beautiful. She reminds me some of Amy Whinehouse in sound. Adele's songs are definitely deeper and meaningful but to me they kind of sound alike. The lyrics Adele uses in her songs seem heartfelt and true to her life. It's also nice to see a woman that doesn't look like a supermodel to make it big in the music industry!

  2. I agree with Rachel I'm in love with Adele's voice and its not nice to see someone in the spot light that does not fit Hollywood's view of what a woman should look like.

  3. I absolutely agree with you on the Justin Bieber part! I really don't understand why such songs are so successful! Adele definitely has a great voice and her lyrics are awesome! I was glad that she won the Oscar for Skyfall because she deserved it!
